Office of Professional Standards

Throughout the year, the Office of Professional Standards provides a range of training opportunities for clergy and lay Church workers. These opportunities will always be offered in a number of sites across the Diocese to ensure that as many people who wish to attend can attend. There is no fee charged for any training opportunity.
 
Training offered in 2011 will include:

• Protection Policy for Children– an ongoing program for lay persons working with children in parishes.
• Safe Ministry Check – a program for clergy to assist in the implementation of the Diocese’s screening and selection procedures for lay persons working with children.
