Queensland is the fastest growing state in Australia and there are many reasons for that. You will find some of them below.
Queensland is Australia's second largest state in area, seven times larger than Great Britain. Queensland enjoys huge diversity in geography, climate and scenery and we believe it is a wonderful place to live.
Brisbane is the largest city in Queensland, situated in the state’s south east corner, home to more than half of the state’s population.
The Anglican Diocese of Brisbane
The Anglican Diocese of Brisbane includes an area of more than half a million square kilometers and is home to more than two million Queenslanders. To serve our community within this region we have 467 clergy and 305 churches.
The Brisbane Diocese takes in the entire Queensland South East corner and continues out west to the South Australian border and north to Bundaberg.
About Queensland
Brisbane's sub-tropical climate means moderate temperatures all year. Brisbane enjoys sunny and mild winters with an average daytime temperature of 22 C and a short summer from December to February where the temperature averages 29 C.

South East Queensland
Brisbane
Brisbane - Australia's most livable city is the capital of Queensland and the hub of the southeast region. Its warm sunny days and mild nights create the perfect outdoor lifestyle.
Brisbane offers the diversity of a big city with a relaxed pace of life. It is surrounded by open parklands, has world class sporting facilities, cosmopolitan restaurants and the Brisbane River at its heart.
Brisbane is also the gateway to many of Queensland's finest tourist destinations, including the Great Barrier Reef and the islands of Moreton Bay
Brisbane's accommodation, food, public transport and educational costs are generally lower than other capital cities of Australia, making it affordable for families.
Gold Coast
The Gold Coast is one of Australia’s premier tourist draw cards, both domestically and internationally attracting hundreds of thousands of people each year. The region enjoys a mild sub-tropical climate, with summer temperatures ranging from 20-35°C between September and April, and 10-25°C during the winter.
The Gold Coast is located one hour from Sydney by air and just 45 minutes by road from Brisbane. The Gold Coast is famous for its beaches with its aptly named Surfers Paradise and its entertainment venues including theme parks - Sea World, Dreamworld and Movieworld. Fifteen kilometers inland from our golden beaches you will find an array of national parks and rainforests where you can hang-glide, bush walk, camp, or four-wheel drive. And for those who love boating, fishing and water sports, our beaches and waterways are a true paradise.
Sunshine Coast
Queensland's Sunshine coast is one hour's drive north from Brisbane. The beaches are the jewels in the Sunshine Coast's crown. Nestled into the backdrop of lush green hills, national parks, rainforests and swimming holes, the hinterland hosts a mix of bohemian and farming communities.
The Coast offers a unique style of cuisine featuring local produce grown in the lush hinterland and fresh seafood from the rivers and surrounding oceans. The townships of the Sunshine Coast are progressive, relaxed, highly creative and very welcoming. The region allows you to indulge in art, shopping, heritage features and markets whilst enjoying your study.
Toowoomba and the Darling Downs
Toowoomba is one of Australia’s most beautiful cities, particularly in spring as the areas many parks and public areas, more than 150, literally blossom into life. The city hosts the Carnival of Flowers every year acting as a draw card to many thousands of visitors from around the country.
Situated on the crest of the Great Dividing Range at some 700 metres above sea level, Toowoomba enjoys panoramic views, rich volcanic soil and four wonderfully distinct seasons. This city which also boasts endless activities and friendly service is a perfect holiday destination in its own right.
Throughout the city, one can already visit a well established Japanese Garden, New Zealand themed park and lake area, and a wetlands of the world area.
